Augmented reality
Augmented reality is a live image with information superimposed on it. For example, consider a consumer who wants to find out the nutritional value of a meal. In this scenario, the consumer holds a device (usually his mobile phone) above the meal and the needed information appears on the screen. Or the consumer sees himself filmed live on a screen and we place an animated figure next to him with whom he can (seemingly) interact.
